2008 Leaf Certified Materials Football!!!

I can’t wait for this product to come out.  Last year’s 2007 Leaf Certified Materials Football cards were so much fun to open.  I am a big Phillies and Dolphins collector, but I am also a huge collector of memorabilia cards of older players such as Jim Thorpe, Doak Walker, Yale Lary, and Clyde “Bulldog” Turner.  Last year’s LCM contained the first memorabilia cards of Sid Luckman and I wanted to pull one really bad.  When I was at the Philadelphia Sports Card & Memorabilia Show last year I picked up a box and stopped at a table to open it.  My first hit in the box was a Sid Luckman Fabric of the Game Jersey #’ed/42.  I thought it was great and a little weird because right before I opened it I said that I wanted to pull one.  I went back and bought a few more boxes and pulled a ton of great stuff including a Maroney Mirror Black Base #’ed 1/1, Dwayne Bowe Mirror Gold Autographed 3 color patch, helmet, jersey and shoe #’ed/25, and two, yes two, of the five Vince Young Mirror Emerald Certified Skills #’ed/5 insert cards.  That day I became hooked on the product.  You want to know whats even stranger?  A few months later I stopped at one of my local card shops and bought a box of 07 LCM and my first hit was a Sid Luckman Triple Patch #’ed/10.  I guess I was just meant to get a few Sid Luckman cards.  This is why I am so excited for the upcoming release of the 2008 Leaf Certified Materials product.  I see they have included Garo Yepremian in their product this year.  Maybe I’ll get lucky and pull a memorabilia card of him since I collect memorabilia and autographs of players from the 1972-73 Perfect Season team.  Another thing that I’m excited about is that this year’s product will include die-cut insert cards.  When I do break this product, be sure that I will show you the results here.
