Walter Johnson Memorabilia?

Walter Johnson is one of the best pitchers to ever play the game.  This 2x AL MVP and 1924 World Series Champion was one of the first five players inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.  For years Johnson has had base, commemorative, and a few cut autographed cards made of him.  After all these years, not a single memorabilia cards has been produced.  Probably because the early 19th century Washington Senators uniforms are so hard to come by.  I think there have only been a few found, in which one is in the Hall of Fame, and another is in a private collection.  This year, Topps got the rights to make cards of Johnson and so far all I have seen in a few serial numbered base cards from Triple Threads and some cards from Allen & Ginter.  I really wish they would make some special cards for this great Hall of Famer even if they can’t get their hands on a jersey or pants.  Hopefully they were able to create some more cut signatures.  I can’t wait for the day they make a memorabilia card of him.

  1. Agreed. I need him to round out my Inagural HOF Induction Class Collection.

I have GU’s of Ruth, Wagner, Matthewson, and Cobb but the Big Train remains just a wish.
