Flashback Product of the Week – 1997 Skybox Premium

1997 wasn’t the first year that Skybox made their Premium product but for some reason this version sticks out to me the most.  At the time this was released I was very new to collecting, and I remember buying a bunch of these packs.  The design of the cards I thought was really good.  I also enjoyed how they made sure they labled every rookie card with a giant “R”.  1997 Skybox Premium contained some awesome looking insert cards as well.  I remember pulling a Kordell Stewart Closeup insert card and seeing that it booked for $10.00 which I thought it was great.  The letters on the front of the card were raised which was a cool feature.  My favorite card from the set has to be the Dan Marino base card.  Its just a cool looking product.
