I took a trip up to State College today to see the Spikes (Pirates) play against the Crosscutters (Phillies). It was originally scheduled for a night game, but then they found out Taylor Swift was doing a concert in State College tonight so they decided to reschedule the game to start in the afternoon. It was a good game, but the Spikes lost. I did get to see Zach Collier play for the Crosscutters. Collier is one of the Phillies better prospects. I picked up another pin for my collection and a 2009 Spikes Team Set. The team set closely resembles the design of 1959 Topps.

Before the game, the entire team was signing free autographs. The line was very long and by the time I got there they started cutting people off because it was getting close to game time. I thought this looked cool while entering the stadium. Each of their jerseys have the MiLB logo patch on the back. I’d like to see TRISTAR do something with those patches.

Nice pictures and game report, I am anxious to see some cards from that team set.
Thanks. Just wrote a post about the cards from the team set.
