Flashback Product of the Week: 2000 Topps HD

Topps HD was introduced to collectors in 2000.  This 100-card base set featured a lot of well designed base cards and inserts.  Topps used what they call Hypercolor Technology, which in my opinion made the photos look crisper than usual.  One thing that stands out the most is that the cards are quite thicker for just being base.  I’m guessing it has something to do with the High Definition factor.  What most collectors are looking for are the autographs.  Autographs are very difficult to pull from this product.  All of them are on-card and seem to sell well when they surface.  I don’t find the relics very eye appealing.  The piece of jersey on their game-used cards looks out of place.  Boxes can be found for as little as $40.00.
