Flashback Product of the Week: 2001 Topps XFL Inaugural Series

The XFL may have been the brainchild of Vince McMahon, but it is one of the biggest sports flops in history.  Taking on rejects of the NFL and giving them very few rules to follow didn’t turn out quite the way they had hoped.  That didn’t stop Topps from making a product featuring some of these nuts.  2001 Topps XFL Inaugural Series contains 24 packs, and collectors can look for one relic card per box on average.  About every other box contains an autograph too.  The only cool thing about the XFL were the nicknames on the back of the player’s jersey.  Anyone remember Rod “He Hate Me” Smart?
