Design:
The design is nice, but on the base cards numbered to 499, the red team logo can be a little difficult to see. Having the big “hit” of the box encased in a holder with the Panini seal on it is a great idea. On some of the patch relics, Panini actually tells you which part of the jersey the patch is from. These two aspects really help fight against counterfeit patches. The box the cards come in is nice too.
Price:
Boxes can be picked-up for about $135.00. Its a high-end product that not everyone can afford.
“Hit” Quality:
Each box guarantees (4) “hits”. I pulled the following:
- Mardy Gilyard 2-Color Patch Auto RC #’ed/699
- Shay Hodge RC Auto #’ed/50
- Jerry Hughes RC Auto #’ed/25
- DeMarcus Ware “City Limits” Jersey #’ed/200
Overall:
Overall, I give 2010 Panini Plates & Patches 4 footballs out of 5 (1=poor & 5=perfect). The price might not be for everyone, but if you have the money give it a try. I love the encased cards, and I want see more. Panini has taken that extra step to help fight scammers. You can’t argue with a company like that.
