2010-2011 All Goalies Box Break & Review

Design: Photobucket

The design is pretty simple.  For a boxed set I wouldn’t be looking for anything spectacular.  I like the use of the color white on a card set, and Panini did well with that here.  Goalies can be some of the most decorated athletes, and they look really good on cards.  I can see why goalies get their own products.  I’m sure the thought has gone through their heads to make products based just on quarterbacks or pitchers, but I don’t think it would have the same effect as goalies.

Price: Photobucket

Boxed sets only cost $25.00.  For that price you get a 100-card set, 5 Up Close parallels, and 1 relic.  If your new to collecting and enjoy hockey, this would make a great product to start off with, especially for kids.

“Hit” Quality: Photobucket

All Goalies does not contain autographs.  Only jerseys and patches.  Most collectors will pull a plain colored jersey.  I received the following:

Relics

  • Peter Budaj Stopper Sweaters Relic
Up Close parallels
  • Martin Gerber #33
  • Jonathan Bernier #37
  • Tomas Vokoun #34
  • Jacob Markstrom #35
  • Scott Clemmensen #36
Overall: Photobucket

Overall, I give 2010-2011 All Goalies 3 goalie masks out of 5 (1=poor & 5=perfect).  Its perfect for those young collectors that may not have a lot of money, but are still looking to bust something that guarantees a “hit”.
