Topps has pulled back the curtain to show collectors what the 2023 Topps Baseball flagship design will be.
This design will be used on a variety of products such as Series 1, Series 2, Update, Chrome, and a whole lot more.

I still don’t understand why they release these during the season, but leaving that aside, my first reaction is fairly positive. It’s been a long time since we’ve gotten two photos on the front, and that usually leads to good sets. (Think 1956 and 1983, for example.) I like the home plate position marker, and I’ll probably like it even more when there isn’t a home plate RC shield right next to it. Glad to see Topps getting back to *baseball* elements in the design (see also the baseball this year).
The team logo seems a bit too large, but I’ll take it.
