Monty Sheldon Showcases His 2015 Topps Gypsy Queen Art
Monty Sheldon is at it again! Check out some of the artwork he worked on for the 2015 edition of Topps Gypsy Queen. This year he made (25) art/patch cards each numbered one-of-one. These are some of the top tier cards to look for when breaking open your boxes. Any one of these cards could easily be the centerpiece of your collection.
In addition to the art/patch cards, Monty Sheldon also worked on a (15) mini card set called “Basics of Base Ball”. Each card in the set details a fundamental aspect of the game. The printed versions should come 1:24 packs (one a box). The original painted one-of-one “Basics of Base Ball” mini cards will also be inserted into packs of 2015 Topps Gypsy Queen. Those can be seen below, and will be much harder to pull.

Hershey Bears vs. Syracuse Crunch – 4/6/13
Last night I went to see the Hershey Bears play the Syracuse Crunch. The Bears are associated with the Washington Capitals and the Crunch are with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Bears lost 2-1 in this action packed game. I’ve only attended a handful of hockey games but this one has to have been the most entertaining as it was filled with fights. I like how the refs just let them go at it for a while and then jump in when it gets too serious. Sometimes I believe the players just do it for the entertainment factor. The crowd really cheered whenever a fight would break out. Just like gladiators.
Dany Sabourin – has a handful of cards ranging from UD SP Authentic, Between the Pipes, and Heroes & Prospects.
Pat Nagle
FIGHT!!!
Coco the Bear
The stadium giveaway was a Hershey Bears Pinnacle logo golf ball sponsored by Fairview Golf Course.

In 2008, the United States Postal Service commemorated the 100th anniversary of the song “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” with the above pin that looks like a stamp. They can be found very easily and are inexpensive.

5 Cards I Would Like To See In 2011 Allen & Ginter
The Cardboard Connection is having a contest where you can win 1 free hobby box of 2010 Topps Allen & Ginter. All you have to do is e-mail them a list of five cards you would like to see in 2011 Allen & Ginter. Click here for all the contest details.
There are a ton of people I would like to see in Allen & Ginter. I found it difficult to narrow it down to just five, but here is my list:
- Jefferson Burdick – author of The American Card Catalog.
- Steve Jobs Auto – Co-Founder of Apple.
- Harry Kalas Cut Signature & Tie Relic – Phillies Hall of Fame broadcaster.
- Bob Uecker Auto – “Mr. Baseball” and 2003 Ford C. Frick Award winner.
- Ball Park Franks – Hygrade Food Products won a competition in 1959 to be the exclusive supplier of hot dogs to the Detroit Tiger’s stadium. Hygrade Food Products launched a contest to its employees in order to come up with the best brand name for their Detroit Tigers stadium hot dogs. Mary Ann Kurk, one of Hygrade Food Products sales people at the time, won the contest with the name “Ball Park Franks”.
In addition to this list, I would also like to see a card of Carl Stotz, who founded Little League Baseball. So who or what would be on your list?
