Top Eleven Pulls To Celebrate Sports Card Info’s 11th Birthday

Today Sports Card Info turns eleven years old.  Thanks to everyone who checks in here on a daily basis.  Sports Card Info began when I was in college.  Many others were starting sports card blogs at the time, and I thought to myself “Hey, I can do that too.”  Lots of blogs have come and gone within that time, but Sports Card Info is still going.  I continue to keep it updated regularly.  At the very least there is a “Card of the Day” post every day.

Over the last eleven years I’ve pulled some amazing cards.  The last three years though have particularly been quite lucky.  In the past, I’ve pulled some cool stuff from Panini, Press Pass, In The Game, and Upper Deck.  But as you can see, for the last three years Topps and Leaf have been my jam.

To celebrate Sports Card Info’s 11th birthday, here is a rundown of the top eleven pulls I’ve had since the blog began in 2007.  Like I said, 2015-2018 has been extremely lucky.  Thanks again for stopping by.  Lets hope we make it to #12.

Happy Birthday! – Sports Card Info Celebrates 5 Years

Photobucket

Five years ago today I founded Sports Card Info.  At the time sports card blogs were in their infancy with only a few that had been around for an established amount of time.  It all began when eBay allowed users to create guides for other collectors.  How To Spot Fake Sports Cards That Are For Sale was the first guide I put together and it took off.  Eventually I stopped writing eBay Guides and started up my own blog – Sports Card Info over on Blogger.  After five months on Blogger, they locked me out of my own blog because they deemed it as spam.  That’s when I moved Sports Card Info over to WordPress.  Its been here ever since.

Within the last five years, Sports Card Info has obtained sponsors from Dave & Adam’s Card World, Orange County Sports Cards, Atlanta Sports Cards, Lil’ Teammates, Bleacher Creatures, OYO Sportstoys, In The Game, Panini, and Press Pass.  In fact, Press Pass sent over the first product Sports Card Info ever reviewed – 2009 Element Racing.  All of these sponsors help keep Sports Card Info going.  I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing a lot of products and using many of the “hits” in weekly contests.

By far one of the coolest things to happen was having OYO Sportstoys turn Sports Card Info into it’s very own collectible minifigure.  When Sports Card Info began back in 2007 I never expected something like that would happen.  Maybe someday it will get it’s very own baseball card.  Weirder things have been put into packs.  But nothing can really compare to the steady stream of products I get to review and use for contests.  If it weren’t for all the daily viewers, Sports Card Info probably wouldn’t exist.

Lets hope the next five years are just as successful.  I’ve gotten to know a lot of great people since starting this blog.  Thanks for checking out Sports Card Info!!!

FedEx dropped off five boxes yesterday from Panini to review.  Five boxes on Sports Card Info’s 5th anniversary.  Lets keep going!

Sports Card Info Turns 4!

Photobucket

Four years ago today Sports Card Info began it’s life.  Since the beginning, there has been 3,000+ blog posts, 5,000+ comments, over 400,000 views, tons of box breaks & reviews, and almost 80 contests.  Thanks everyone for stopping by and checking out Sports Card Info.  I hope you’re all around to see what happens when its time to celebrate the big 5th anniversary next year.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday – 2011 Upper Deck SP Legendary Cuts Box Break

Today is my 25th birthday.  I just ate an extremely large piece of cake.  My gifts included a new Phillies T-shirt, Phillies tin filled with Tastykakes, and a box of 2011 Upper Deck SP Legendary Cuts.  The box yielded a Harvey Haddix cut signature #’ed 26/35.

Photobucket

Haddix played for the Cardinals, Phillies, Reds, Pirates, and Orioles.  He was the winning pitcher in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series where Bill Mazeroski hit his walk-off homer in the bottom of the 9th.  Collectors can find his rookie within the 1953 Topps set.  Nothing quite like adding a vintage Phillies cut into my collection!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday To Sports Card Info

Three years ago today I started Sports Card Info.  The first day it was operational it received only 71 visitors.  Now it averages 400-600 visitors per day.  Soon it will reach the 300,000 total visitors mark.  I’m so happy to see how it has grown.  It wouldn’t be anything without my loyal readers that check out the site daily.  I look forward to another year of memorabilia news and contests.  Thanks to everyone that continues to read Sports Card Info.  Also thanks to TRISTAR, Press Pass, Panini, and D & A Card World.
