Collector Type: Set/Refractor Fans
Everything is better when it gets Chromed! It works for Stadium Club, so why not for Allen & Ginter?
Allen & Ginter Chrome made it’s debut in 2020. I did not have the opportunity to open a box last year. I did however watch a lot of people open their boxes, and they looked like a lot of fun. For 2021 I was able to get my hands on a box.
The base set consists of (300) cards. Parallels include Refractor, Blue #’ed/150, Green #’ed/99, Gold #’ed/50, Orange #’ed/25, X-Fractor, Red #’ed/5, and SuperFractor #’ed 1/1.
Each card in the main set has a Base Mini counterpart. You will find (1) Base Mini card per pack. Parallels include Gold #’ed/50, Orange #’ed/25, Red #’ed/5, and SuperFractor #’ed 1/1.
Inserts include Mini Rookie Design Variations, Mini World Leaders, and Mini World’s Largest.
Autographs much like the X-Fractors are case hits.
Its a very simple product. The cards look even better in hand.
Will we ever see a Sapphire Edition? Probably not. Combining two products is enough. Three can get a little crowded.

Collector Type: Autograph/Risk Takers
This one is for you risk takers. After a successful debut in 2020, Topps Chrome Black returns for 2021.
Inside each box you will find (4) cards – (1) encased autograph, (1) parallel, and (2) base.
The base set consists of (100) cards. Parallels include Refractor #’ed/199, Purple #’ed/150, Green #’ed/99, Green Atomic #’ed/99, Blue #’ed/75, Gold #’ed/50, Orange #’ed/25, Magenta #’ed/10, Red #’ed/5, and Superfractor #’ed 1/1.
Autographs come in two different formats – Topps Chrome Black Autographs, and Super Futures Autographs. The Topps Chrome Black Autographs parallels include Refractor #’ed/150, Green #’ed/99, Gold #’ed/50, Orange #’ed/25, Red #’ed/5, and Superfractor #’ed 1/1. Super Futures Autographs are serial numbered to (99) with parallels that include Gold #’ed/50, Orange #’ed/25, Red #’ed/5, and Superfractor #’ed 1/1.
Unlike other Topps Chrome products which utilize the flagship set design, Topps Chrome Black does it’s own thing. The photographs are glossy while the backgrounds have a matte finish. I did not open a box of this stuff last year, so this is the first time I’ve seen these cards in person. Other collectors weren’t kidding when they mentioned how sharp these cards look in person.

Collector Type: Set/Chrome Fans/Autograph/Photography Fans
The base set comes in at a whopping (400) cards. Parallels include Refractor (1:4), Gold #’ed/50, Orange #’ed/25, Wave (1:112), Red #’ed/5, and SuperFractor #’ed 1/1.
(25) players have 1991 Topps Stadium Club Design Variations. CMP codes can be used to identify them. Base end in #783. 1991 Topps Stadium Club Design Variations end in #841. They fall (1:4) packs. Given that the variations use the classic Topps Stadium Club logo on the front picking them out should be quite easy. Variation parallels include Wave, Gold #’ed/50, Orange #’ed/25, Red #’ed/5, and SuperFractor #’ed 1/1.
Autographs include Base Autographs, 1991 Stadium Club Design Variation Autographs, Beam Team Autographs, and Lone Star Signatures.
Inserts include Beam Team, Crystal Ball, and Virtual Reality.
A single hobby box should have (14) packs with an insert or parallel per pack. (1) on-card autograph per box.
Like peanut butter & jelly, Bert & Ernie, and Sonny & Cher, Stadium Club and Chrome just belong together. The Chrome stock and incredible photographs make for an enjoyable box break. It doesn’t matter if you pull a big hit or not. That’s the best thing about both Stadium Club and Stadium Club Chrome.
Between the on-card autographs, photography, Chrome stock, and price, I would vote Stadium Club and/or Stadium Club Chrome for product of the year. You’re guaranteed a TON of nice looking cards to add to your collection. It appeals to so many collectors.
