A Closer Look At Lombardi’s First Relic Cards

These are a couple of better images of some of the Vince Lombardi personally worn jacket relics that you’ll find inside 2012 Leaf Lombardi Legacy that should be released next month.  Remember, you get one of these Lombardi relics per box, plus four base cards and two inscription autographs.  These are the same two pictures you’ll find on the sales sheet, but much better quality.

Give Brian Grey A Big Hand: Paterno’s 1st Certified Autograph

In today’s industry it seems like everyone has a card, including Billy the Marlin.  One of the few people who doesn’t have a lot of cards would be the legendary coach of Penn State Joe Paterno.  I have to give Brian Grey of Razor a big hand because collectors have been waiting years for someone to make a certified autograph of Paterno.  His first certified autograph was found in Razor’s 2009 Sports Icons product and is serial numbered 1/1.  Last year Paterno was suppose to have an autograph in Topps Mayo but for some reason it never made it in, even though collectors saw pictures of it on the sell sheet and promotional video.  Currently this card is selling for $36.00 with 6 bids.  The auction closes tomorrow night and I bet the price will go through the roof when it gets closer to ending.

Update: The card ended at $238.00.

The Agony of Defeat

Last night before turning off the computer, I placed a bid on a Tony Sparano 2008 Bowman Chrome Superfractor #’ed 1/1.  My maximum bid was $22.00 and the price of the auction was at $12.50 when I left the auction.  This morning I was hoping to see that I won, but instead found out I got outbid by $0.01.  The card ended up selling for $22.01.  That would have been my very first Superfractor.  Maybe an autograph of his will popup for sale soon.  Have you ever lost an auction that you really wanted to win?

Please Make This Card!!!

Can you hear my Donruss/Playoff, Topps, and Upper Deck?  Why hasn’t anyone made a Don Shula game worn Dolphins jacket card?  I see there are Knute Rockne and Tom Landry authentic worn coat cards, but no Don Shula.  I have found Don Shula game used jersey cards from when he played with the Colts, but no Dolphins.  Someone, PLEASE MAKE THIS CARD!!!!!!!!
