Flashback Product of the Week: 1991 DC Cosmic Cards Inaugural Edition

This Friday Green Lantern hits theaters and I’m really looking forward to seeing it.  Green Lantern is one of those iconic comic book characters that dominates the DC Universe.

This week’s Flashback Product comes from 1991 and was the Inaugural Edition of DC Cosmic Cards.  Each box contains 36 packs and collectors can look for all their favorite heroes.  The 90’s was filled with all kinds of fancy high-gloss, refractor, serial numbered comic book cards, but these are nothing like that.  Collectors can look for randomly inserted holograms, but other than that your gonna get classic comic book art –  nothing fancy.  Sealed boxes can easily be found for under $20.00.  The set consists of 180 cards.

Green Lantern Looks Fantastic

I’m a sucker for all comic book driven movies.  Thats why I’m so excited for the new Green Lantern film that hits theaters on June 17th, 2011.  It looks great from what you can see in the new trailer.

These 1995 Skybox DC Chromium cards are some of the best looking comic book cards from the 90’s.  I still think the 2010 Topps Finest Football Atomic Refractors look like the Green Lantern logo.
