Press Pass Replacement Mailday
Last June I busted a box of 2010 Press Pass Football, and pulled a redemption for a Dez Bryant autograph. In January Press Pass informed me they would be mailing a replacement. Today I received an Earl Campbell 2008 Press Pass Legends – Bowl Edition Top 25 autograph #’ed 14/75. I think its a reasonable replacement. I pulled three Dez Bryant autographs within the last year, and all have been redemptions. I wish Press Pass would bring back Bowl Edition. Those cards seem to be really popular. Boxes yield five packs, each containing an autograph.
Nothing quite like an on-card autograph

PHOTOS: The 2010 National Sports Collectors Convention
The National is by far the greatest show of the year. I saw a lot of people, opened a ton of packs, and participated in many of the wrapper redemption programs provided by the manufacturers. I even had time to watch the Orioles take on the White Sox Friday night. The marketing was much better this year, not only for The National, but for other companies too. There were T-shirts, cups, and all sorts of promos flying around the Baltimore Convention Center. Check out some of my photos.

This was one of the coolest artifacts on display at The National. This is the bat Cap Anson used in 1897. I had never seen anything of Anson’s before.

This has nothing to do with The National, but Pickles Pub was right next to the hotel I stayed at. Every night the place was packed.

Card of the Day: Earl “Dutch” Clark ’06 Leaf Limited Helmet Relic
As a collector of old relics, this is one I’d like to ad to my collection soon. Earl “Dutch” Clark was a star quarterback for the Lions and is a member of both the College and Pro Football HOF. Just like Red Grange, you won’t find any jersey relics of Clark, only leather helmet pieces. On a side note, I’m really glad Panini took Leaf Limited back to a one pack, high thrill product this year. Last year’s Leaf Limited just reminded me of another version of Certified Materials.
