The 1995 MLB season was slightly shortened due to the 1994 strike. Instead of playing 162 games, teams only played 144. The Braves went on to beat the Indians in the World Series too.
Topps launched a new product called Topps Embossed in 1995. The set consists of 140 cards featuring embossed technology. As you can see, each pack contains (6) embossed cards, one of which will be a Golden Idol Foil. This product did not catch on, and the cards can easily be found for very little today. Boxes can sell for under $10.00. I believe the 95-96 basketball version of Topps Embossed has more desirable cards versus the baseball set.
