Hitting The Nail On The Head

 

When you think about it, Topps really hit the nail on the head when they made this 1980 Topps Larry Bird / Magic Johnson dual rookie card.  Not only does this card have two Hall of Famers, but three.  This isn’t Dr. J’s rookie, but he still adds value to it.  

When you look back at some of the most famous multi-player rookie cards created by Topps, you will find a bunch of Hall of Famers but usually there is only one per card.  Rarely will you find two rookies on one card that made it to the Hall of Fame.  Some of the most popular multi-player rookie cards would include:

As you can see, the list can go on and on.  All the cards on this list are baseball players, which makes it more amazing that two Hall of Fame rookies appear on this one basketball card.  This card has to be one of the best basketball cards in history.
