Famous Fabrics Fab Four Redemption Up For Grabs During The ’13 National
In the latest ’13 National news…
After August 3rd, one lucky collector will be the owner of this Famous Fabrics Fab Four Redemption quad autographed card. That’s right. This is one card with the signatures from all the Beatles members – John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. Last year Famous Fabrics included 90 redemption cards within boxes of their Music, Music, Music product. Each one of these redemption cards contain a serial number, and starting last November Famous Fabrics began announcing 10 numbers every month. If your redemption card’s serial number was announced, unfortunately you’re not the winner. As of right now, 10 numbers still remain. During the 2013 National Sports Collectors Convention Famous Fabrics will eliminate the remaining 9 numbers leaving the last one to the winner.
Has your serial number been called yet?

This George Washington Art Card Is Going To Cost You $$$$
There is no doubt that the two most expensive products on the market to break right now are Famous Fabrics 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and Leaf’s Oval Office. Neither one deals with sports in any way. Both products are very limited and cost around $1,500.00 each. Given the current economic conditions, I’m surprised we are seeing products like this being released. They sure aren’t for your average collector.
I have to admit, Famous Fabrics has the better product. Normally I would side with Leaf, but not this time. Oval Office has (1) Presidential cut signature per box. That’s it. 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue on the other hand has (1) Presidential cut signature, (1) non-Presidential cut signature, and (4) base cards each numbered to 10 per box. For around the same price, you can obviously see 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has much more to offer.
Another fun thing Famous Fabrics is doing is rewarding the first collector that puts together the entire 96-card 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue base set. This first collector to do this will receive the George Washington 1/1 Hand-Painted Art card by Jared Kelley. Kelley’s work can be found in Sports Kings and he was behind the Presidential Art cards found in Goodwin Champions. They look absolutely amazing and collectors spend big bucks on them. This base set won’t be an easy or cheap one to complete. Having each base card limited to 10 copies really drives the price up. Base cards have been selling anywhere from a low of $10.00 to over a high of $250.00+. Get ready to spend some major $$$$ 🙂
Collectors that come in second, third, and fourth putting together the 96-card base set will receive 1/3 reproductions of the George Washington Hand-Painted Art card.

Collecting Manny Pacquiao
Last night in front of 40,000+ people, Manny Pacquiao defeated Antonio Margarito and obtained the WBC super-welterweight championship. At one point during the fight, Pacquiao actually asked the referee if the fight should be stopped because he thought he might do permanent damage to Margarito. Pacquiao is already going down as one of the greatest fighters in history.
As far as collecting goes, Pacquiao doesn’t have a ton of cards. I’m surprised that Sportkings hasn’t included him in any of their products. For you die hard Pacquiao fans, you’ll find his most valuable cards in Famous Fabrics. He has a handful of boxing relics found in those sets. Even though his image doesn’t appear on any of those cards, they still don’t come cheap. It wouldn’t surprise me if you see more of his cards made. I guess for now you’ll just have to stick with my own personal Sports Card Info custom Pacquiao card.

Golf’s Greatest Patch Card?
I have always liked the look of golf cards. Golf is one of the oldest sports in the world and I think it should have more cards. I would like to congratulate Creative Cardboard Concepts for making one of the coolest looking golf cards ever made. The card below comes from Famous Fabrics Second Edition and contains almost the entire golden bear logo off of Jack Nicklaus’s golf bag. Its numbered 1/1 and I think its just freakin awesome!
Who wants to see some John Daly patches?

Famous Fabrics Preview
Creative Cardboard Concepts distributes products such as Sportkings and various ITG products. I’ve never owned anything made by any of these manufacturers, but I just received an e-mail containing new images of their Famous Fabrics product and I think they look awesome. This product is very limited (according to Creative Cardboard Concepts). You can check out more information about Famous Fabrics over on their blog. It is scheduled to be released 2-24-10.
As a big Phillies fan, this triple jersey of Burrell, Howard and Rollins celebrating the ’08 Championship looks awesome.
They even have the Dolphins covered too. I swear I’ve seen this design done before with a football product from the late 90’s featuring jersey relics.
I’m not a big Pirates fan, but I sure wouldn’t mind pulling this card. Would you?
