Charlie Manuel Bobble Contest! – NOW CLOSED

During the Phillies Hot Stove Dinner last night, I won a Charlie Manuel bobble head.  Every table had one sitting in the middle and if you were sitting on the chair with a baseball card taped to the bottom you were the lucky person to keep the bobble head.  These were actually stadium giveaways the Crosscutters gave out last summer and they used the leftover bobble heads as centerpieces last night.  Normally I would keep the bobble head for my collection, but I already have this one so I thought why not use it for a contest since I haven’t had one for a long time.  It is in excellent condition and I’m sure there are some Phillies fans out there that would enjoy owning it.

“The Flyin Hawaiian” SGA Figure

Over the last month I have been watching these bobble head figures of Shane Victorino a.k.a The Flyin Hawaiian increase in price.  These were a Citizen Bank Park giveaway this past year.  Before the Phillies won the World Series they were selling for about $30.00.  Now they are selling for almost $100.00.  I think that is incredible considering these were just given away.  I have a Shane Victorino bobble head but its not like this one.  Mine is a dual mini bobble head that features Shane Victorino and Danny Sandoval in their Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Red Barons uniforms which was also a stadium giveaway.  I haven’t seen any of those pop up for sale in a long time.  As you can see, people collect everything 🙂

Stadium Giveaways

I have been to a bunch of games in my life and have received a lot of weird stadium handouts when going through the front gate.  This has to be one of the coolest bobbleheads I have ever received at a game.  This is “Boomer” the Williamsport Crosscutters new mascot.  It was given to the first 1,000 fans at last Friday night’s game.  I was able to pick up three and man am I glad I did.  I can’t believe what one of these sold for.
