Nu-Card is a manufacturer which I’m not that familiar with.  They issued various sports and non-sports related sets in the 1960’s.  Their 1960 Baseball Hi-Lites set contains 72 3 1/4″ x 5 3/8″ cards designed to look like newspaper stories.  Each card front covers an event in baseball history, and the backs have a short baseball quiz.  Card numbers 1-18 have two different variations.  The most common variation that you’ll find are cards that have red and black text on the front.  These are copyrighted by NCI.  The harder to find cards are printed in all black and are copyrighted by CVC.  Someone must have complained about the card’s size, because the following year Nu-Card issued Baseball Scoops.  The concept was the same as Baseball Hi-Lites, but the cards were much smaller.

Prices for these cards and complete sets are all over the place.  Its all based on condition.  Baseball Card Exchange has a full box for sale.  The asking price is only $12,500.00.  They had this box on display during the National along with some other funky stuff.
