Preview: 2020 Futera Unique World Football (Live Images)

Futera is a card manufacturer that more collectors in the United States should become familiar with.  Last year they teamed-up with Onyx Authenticated to bring collectors 2019 Onyx/Futera Unique Baseball Prospects & Legends.  A collaboration such as this is almost unheard of in today’s hobby.  For many U.S.-based collectors this was their first introduction to the type of cards Futera creates.  I tried a pack and pulled a Julio Pablo Martinez 24ct Gold-Plated Metal Framed Phenoms Auto #’ed/9.  Unless he turns into the next Mike Trout, this card will remain in my personal collection just because of how well it was made.

I can’t talk about Futera without bringing up their Code for Collectors and Memorabilia Color Grading Services.  Code for Collectors allows you to see all of the details that went into making your specific card – photo of the card, date signed, materials used in making the card, etc…  Color Grading Services will tell you how many cards from certain sets have 1-color, 2-color, 3-color, etc… relics in them.  U.S. collectors would love to have services such as these.  They certainly help with identifying altered cards.

European football (soccer) is what Futera is really known for today.  2020 Futera Unique World Football is their next product set to release.  (4) packs come in a box, with a hit in every pack.  Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Virgil Van Dijk, Antoine Griezmann, Sadio Mane, Pele, and Diego Maradona are just some of the key players you’ll find.

Additional 2013 Fleer Retro Baseball Pics

Here are some additional images of Upper Deck’s 2013 Fleer Retro Baseball that is scheduled to be released in August (that will probably change).  Its great to see some of the classic designs, but with many cards not containing logos I’m not sure if the cost will be worth it.  What is more important to the collector – classic designs or logos?

Even More Strata Football Images

Here are some more images of 2012 Topps Strata Football.  Its scheduled to be released in October.  Each box will contain (1) Clear Cut Auto Relic, (1) Rookie Auto, (1) Rookie Relic, and (1) Rookie Die-Cut.

It slices, it dices, and it can even bring home the bacon.  All you need to do is SET IT AND FORGET IT!  The Rivet Patch parallels #’ed/5 will be able to fan out.

More Sportkings Series E Images

Sportkings offered up a few more sneak peak images of Series E which is on time to release on May 3, 2012.  These art cards by Jared Kelley are amazing.  I would like to see some autographed sketch/art cards someday.  Signed by both the artist and athlete.

Flashback Product of the Week: 1992 Comic Images Ghost Rider II Spirit of Vengeance

This Friday Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance will be released in theaters.  Its been five years since we’ve seen that famous Marvel Comics flaming skull on the big screen.  Ghost Rider has to be one of the darkest antiheroes comic book fans have ever seen.  From a visual perspective, he is one of the coolest looking characters.  This new film looks to be a lot darker than the first.  I look forward to seeing it this weekend.

In 1992, Comic Images released an 80-card set based on Ghost Rider.  There are also 10 glow-in-the-dark inserts for you to look for.  During the 90’s, comic book cards were on fire.  I’m sure there are collectors reading this that remember trading in some of their favorite sports cards for products like this.  Most of those cards have tanked, but a few still hold some value.  Sealed boxes can be found for under $10.00.

Even More 2012 Leaf Golf Metal Images

Leaf released the official sales sheet for their much anticipated Golf Metal product today.  As you can see, it contains some never before seen images.  Take a gander.  Golf Metal is currently pre-ordering for $89.99 per box.  Collectors can look for it in March.

More Leaf Golf Metal Images Released

Leaf released a few more images of their much anticipated 2012 Golf Metal set due out later this year.  As you can see, Anthony Kim will be included within this set.  I really want to try this product when it comes out.
