Its not too often that a card set inspires a movie. Usually movies inspire card sets, but thats not the case with the 1962 Topps Mars Attacks set. This 55-card set features some of the most violent images ever placed on cardboard. Back in the 60’s, parents were up in arms claiming that children shouldn’t be exposed to such graphic images. You have to admit, the images are really graphic and no manufacturer would get away with this today. This set is quite popular, unlike the 1996 film.
