Unboxing The TeenyMates NFL Series 4 Collectors Tin

 photo collectortinseries4mflteenymates_zpsdyge93ad.jpg

Its no surprise that the TeenyMates people decided to put together another collectible tin product this year.  Especially when it comes to their Series 4 NFL figures.  Last fall, TeenyMates released their first packaged tin product with their line of Series 3 NFL figures.  That tin became one of the most popular products that TeenyMates ever released.  For some reason the production run was low, and they were eventually difficult to find.  What once sold for around $15.00 skyrocketed to almost $100.00.  Today those Series 3 tins have settled at $50.00 if still found sealed.  The Series 4 NFL TeenyMates tin is popular with collectors, but I highly doubt you’ll see it reach the price range of last year’s product.  I’m sure production is up after seeing the popularity of Series 3.

Inside the Series 4 NFL TeenyMates tin you’ll find a bunch of stuff.  You’ve got a stand, (4) packs of Series 4 NFL TeenyMates, and an exclusive referee figure.  All figures look like tiny linebackers.  Rare figures to look for include Robomate (1:37), Glow-In-The-Dark (1:64), Seattle Seahawks Throwback (1:128), Crystal Ice Figure (1:171), Washington Redskins Throwback (1:256), and Metallic Gold Finish (1:512).  These rare figures can command major dollars on the secondary market.

I think its safe to say that The Party Animal, Inc. (makers of TeenyMates) have a winner on their hands.  When collectors are willing to spend hundreds on a tiny rare figure, you know you’re doing something right.  Series 4 tins can be found for $18.00… for now 🙂

I opened a tin and pulled the following figures:

  • (1) Saints
  • (1) Cardinals
  • (1) Packers
  • (1) Lions
  • (1) Jets
  • (1) Texans
  • (1) Giants
  • (1) Broncos
  • (1) Referee

Goal Line Art Welcomes The 2015 Hall Of Fame Class

Since 1989, Goal Line Art, the Pro Football Hall Of Fame, and artist Gary Thomas have been releasing an annual set depicting some of professional football’s most talented players/coaches/executives.  In 1995, the set began to center around that year’s newest HOF inductees.  Twenty years later, its still being done the same way.

Take a look at these 4″ x 6″ masterpieces featuring the 2015 Hall Of Fame Class.  Tell you what.  If I were attending the HOF induction, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to pick up a set or two to get signed.  These things look crazy good when they’re autographed.

This year’s Hall Of Fame Class includes Jerome Bettis, Tim Brown, Charles Haley, Bill Polian, Junior Seau, Will Shields, Mick Tingelhoff, and Ron Wolf.  Sets generally sell for $30.00.  But older ones can run a lot higher.

Flashback Product of the Week: 1993 Cardz The Flintstones NFL

 photo 93cardznflflint_zpstrjmvjey.jpg

This product ROCKS!!!  You would have to be STONED to enjoy it!!!

Cardz Distribution was founded by Ann Blake.  It later went on to become Playoff Corp.  Cardz was mostly known for making trading card sets for various entertainment properties.  They would make products based on T.V. shows and movies.  Some of their products include Tom & JerryThe MaskTerminator 2: Judgement DayMaverick, and The Muppets.  Sometimes they would combine two properties in one.  That’s the case when it comes to 1993 Cardz The Flintstones NFL.

“Let’s put the Flintstones in NFL uniforms.”  This is not something you hear card manufacturers saying today.  But it looks like in 1993 it certainly was.  Cardz put the Muppets in NHL uniforms, so why not team the Flintstones up with the NFL.  It only seems like the most logical thing to do.

This product consists of 110 cards geared highly towards children.  Or perhaps just really big Flintstones fans.  All of the characters are represented in one way or another.  Cards to look for include the holograms and tekchrome.  They also made cards that you could color.  None hold much value today.  Boxes can be found for under $20.00.
