Unboxing Upper Deck’s Random Acts Of Kindness Package

A big thank you to Upper Deck for sending me one of their Random Acts Of Kindness Packages. I still can’t believe all that was in the box. Shirts, blanket, card album, calendar, USB drive, break mat, jumbo Gritty Young Guns cards, pennant, lanyards, Wayne Gretzky LA Kings Funko Pop! figure, and cards!

Sealed boxes I received include 2020 Goodwin Champions, 2020-21 Trilogy Hockey, 2020-21 SPx Hockey, 2020-21 Upper Deck NHL Hockey Star Rookies Box Set, and 2020-21 SP Game-Used Edition Hockey. I can’t wait to open them.

Enclosed with the note were (3) single cards. Christmas Package from OC Sports Cards

Panini’s 2011 National VIP Plans

Those who purchase a VIP package during this year’s National Sports Collectors Convention will find a 6-card set.  Inside the package you will find cards of Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, John Wall, and Blake Griffin.  There will be a coupon included which collectors can redeem at the Panini corporate booth for two additional cards.

Collectors who purchase a Super VIP package not only will get the above card set, but will also get a coupon that can be exchanged for a 6-card set featuring some of this year’s top NFL draft picks.  The set will feature the first card of Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor.

In true Ohio State fashion, as soon as you get your hands on this card, sell it for cash.  I bet Tressel’s Tattoo & Pawn would buy one 🙂

Sport Kings ’09 National VIP Promos

Sport Kings is producing 7 different cards that will be included in this year’s National VIP package.  Each package will contain one of the seven cards depicting various athletes from Series C.

Sport Kings plans incorporate their Redemption Program at this year’s National too.  Collectors who open a box of the new Series C can redeem the box tops for special memorabilia cards made just for the National.  In exchange for the box top you will be given a redemption card which will be for one of the special relics.  These cards can contain 3-6 pieces of memorabilia.  Each card will have 9 silver versions and a 1/1 gold version.  If you stop by the Sport Kings booth you’ll see an entire checklist of the cards in the Redemption Program.

Upper Deck’s ’09 National V.I.P Promos

Upper Deck will be including a 10-card set in this year’s National V.I.P package.  The players include: LeBron James, Sidney Crosby, Derek Jeter, Joe DiMaggio, Bob Feller, Grady Sizemore, Peyton Manning, Gordie Howe, Ken Griffey, Jr, and Michael Jordan.

Topps V.I.P Package Promos for the ’09 National

Each V.I.P package will include a 4-card pack.  Each pack will contain at least one Mantle.  They will be done in the classic 1959 Topps design.

1989 Score Football Is Back

At least for the 30th National it is.  Panini America will be including the following 6-card set in this year’s V.I.P package.  Each card is designed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the famous 1989 Score football set.  The set includes: Ben Roethlisberger, Brady Quinn, Matt Ryan, Larry Fitzgerald, Mark Sanchez, and Matthew Stafford.

Package Received from the U.K.

Yesturday I received a package in the mail from John over in the U.K.  Inside was a large stack of Phillies cards for my collection.  While placing the cards in my album I realized he sent me a Mickey Morandini 1991 Score RC, a few Phillies cards from 1970 Topps, and my personal favorite is the Darren Daulton 1993 Topps Black Gold insert.  John writes for A Pack A Day and you should check out the site.  Its one of the better sports card blogs.  Once I get some more Red Sox stuff built up, I’ll send them your way.  I guess that means I need to open more boxes.  Well, if I have to, I have to 🙂

On a side note, I was able to get the photo of myself and the 2008 World Series Trophy scanned.  The Phillies had a whole photo booth setup, and were pumping these things out left and right.
