Preview: 2011 TRISTAR Pursuit Baseball

A lot of collectors refer to TRISTAR’s prospect sets as a poor man’s Bowman Chrome.  Although they must be popular or TRISTAR wouldn’t take the time to make them.  Collectors can look for all kinds of autographs, some cards including (5) signatures.  But as for me, my favorite part will be the Obak preview cards.  I love Obak!!!!!!  The Obak preview set includes Whitey Ford, Jameson Taillon, Rich “Goose” Gossage, Cap Anson, Bobby Thompson, and Billy “White Shoes” Johnson.   2011 Pursuit is due to hit shelves on 4/15/11.

TRISTAR Pursuit Series 2 Preview

TRISTAR plans to release its second series of Pursuit on 5/19/10.  Look for more autographs of highly collectible prospects and Obak update cards.  Unfortunately collectors won’t find any MiLB logos of these cards at all.  I think TRISTAR tries to make up for it with the red ink/inscription autographs.  MiLB has so many cool looking logos and I believe they add a lot of character to the cards.
