“Pin-Up” of the Week: Rambo Pin

This “Pin-Up” of the Week post has nothing to do with sports.  While looking for a pin, I came across this Rambo one and just thought it looked cool.  This pin is just like Rambo, not much to say but kicks ass.  I also wanted an excuse to post the trailer for Stallone’s new move Escape Plan.

Flashback Product of the Week: 1985 Topps Rambo

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!  Nothing says happy turkey day more than Rambo.  This 88-card set features scenes from First Blood Part II.  There are 65 story cards that contain red borders and barbed wire frames.  Than you can look for the 22 sticker subset that have puzzle backs.  As far as value goes, there isn’t much here.  Sealed boxes sell for a little under $50.00, but the individual cards don’t go for that much.

Rambo is one of those classic movie characters made famous back in the 80’s.  He doesn’t wear a cape or drive a fancy car, but he sure gets the job done no matter how dirty it gets.  Stallone brought Rambo back to fans in 2008.  At the end of the film it shows him finding his way home to Arizona.  The big question is, does he stay?  Movies like The Expendables and The Expendables 2 really capture Rambo-like characters you don’t see all that often in today’s cinema.  Its just down right fun to see classic action stars like this back in theaters.

Stallone needs to have an autographed card placed in some type of entertainment product.  Leaf Pop Century Collection would be a great place for it.  Can you imagine what a Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Willis, and Norris quad autographed card would sell for?  Fans would go nuts over it.
