Flashback Product of the Week: 2009 Razor Cut Signature National Edition

Razor was a cool name for a company, but I don’t think it ever fully made a connection with collectors.  Brian Gray was very wise to pick-up the Leaf brand when he did.  Leaf’s products seem to be quite popular with collectors.

Razor created an exclusive cut signature product for the 2009 National Sports Collectors Convention.  The National is always about the promos, but you don’t always see an entire product based around it.  Each box contains (1) encapsulated cut signature.  They can range anywhere from athletes to entertainers.  I tried a box during the ’09 National and pulled a Blake Edwards autograph.  The big card everyone was looking for was the Michael Jackson cut.  Sealed boxes can still be found for around $100.00.

Whats your favorite memory when attending a National?  Favorite athlete you met?  Big card you pulled?  Mine would have to be when I was able to get my picture taken with seven Heisman Trophy winners.
