Flashback Product of the Week: 1969 Topps Baseball Stamps

Baseball cards are cool.  Stamps are cool.  Combine the two together and it has to make for a great product.  Too bad this didn’t hold up back in ’69.  That’s probably why this product is so valuable today.  Its funny how products that didn’t survive back then are popular now.  To quote the great card gods – “Collectibles are collectible because at one time they weren’t collectible”.

Topps has released all kinds of crazy products in the past.  1969 Baseball Stamps consists of 240 total stamps.  The box says 24 wax packs per box, but according to Baseball Card Exchange some boxes have only 18.  Collectors will also find 1 team album per box as well.  Boxes can sell for $900.00 and packs for almost $100.00.
