“Pin-Up” of the Week: Clemson Tigers College Football Playoff 2016 National Champions Dangler Pin

 photo clemaladangpin_zpsxt63qrlb.jpg

Nothing pleases me more than to see a team go the entire season without losing only to watch them choke in the National Championship game.  Especially when it happens to a team like Alabama who has won enough titles over the last few years.  That game was a nail biter right down to the very last second, but Clemson pulled ahead.  Alabama left too much time on the clock and Clemson marched right down the field.  I guess kicking Lane Kiffin to the curb wasn’t such a good idea.

Merchandise for Clemson’s victory immediately followed the game.  It could be seen on the field.  This pin is one of a handful made for retail stores.  You can easily add one to your collection for $8.

Ernie Harwell Remembered On Cardboard

Ernie Harwell was one of the best baseball broadcasters in the history of the game.  He called the television broadcast of Bobby Thompson’s “Shot Heard Round The World”.  Broadcasters usually don’t have a ton of cards to collect, but Harwell has a little over 30 different cards for collectors to add to their collection.  Probably his most popular certified autographs come from 2004 and 2005 Upper Deck Sweet Spot Classic.  He does have a dual autograph along with Kirk Gibson which can be found in 2004 Fleer Greats of the Game and is limited to only 25 copies.  You can also find his autographs in 2003 and 2004 Topps Fan-Favorites.  Much like after the death of famous Phillies broadcaster, Harry Kalas, I’m sure you’ll see a rush of his collectibles hitting the market.
