Topps Unveils The 2021 Baseball Flagship Design

I think the entire world is ready for 2020 to be over.  Many people wish to put this whole year behind us and look ahead to 2021.

A new year means a new Topps Baseball flagship set design.  Today Topps unveiled what that design plans to look like.

The flagship set sets the tone of the entire baseball card collecting year.  Between Series 1, Series 2, Update, Chrome, and Chrome Sapphire Edition its a design that you’ll be seeing quite often over a variety of products.

Topps Unveils 2015 National Sports Collectors Convention VIP Set

Topps has unveiled what VIPs attending the 2015 National Sports Collectors Convention will find in their package.  They have put together a 5-card set of “cards that never were” in the design of the 1953 Bowman Color set.  The set includes Ernie Banks, Jackie Robinson, Al Kaline, Willie Mays, and Ted Williams.  Each VIP will receive a 4-card pack.  That means to complete the whole set, you most likely will have to trade with someone.

Like other years, Topps will have their famous Q&A session.  They will also be selling jumbo High Tek cards at their booth too.  No word yet on their wrapper redemption program, but I’m betting that it will involve Allen & Ginter somehow.  Even their apps teams will be there to demonstrate stuff.  Topps should really have some National exclusive digital cards for show attendees.

Upper Deck Unveils 2015 NSCC VIP Set

The 2015 National Sports Collectors Convention takes place at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center this year in Chicago.  It runs from 7/29 to 8/2.  Upper Deck has already spilled the beans on some of the stuff they plan on doing.

Upper Deck first released their Prominent Cuts product back in 2009.  Since then the brand has been silent… until now.  Prominent Cuts plans to be all over Upper Deck’s 2015 NSCC promos.  Here is a look at the 5-card set VIPs will receive in their bags.

Leaf Unveils 4-Card VIP Set For The 35th National

Got some more National news to share.  VIPs attending the 35th National Sports Collectors Convention in Cleveland will be welcomed with a 4-card set thanks to Leaf.  The set includes Johnny Manziel, Jadeveon Clowney, Damian Lillard and Victor Oladipo.  VIPs will find a coupon in their kits which can be redeemed for this 4-card set at the Leaf booth.

Leaf will also have a redemption program at their Corporate Booth at the National.  Six cards in a similar format will be available through the redemption.  Details will be available at the Leaf Corporate Booth.  Finally, in addition to the card set, Leaf will have a redemption program which will award consumers gift cards to be used at Leaf’s 5,000 square foot Corporate Booth on the show floor.

Panini Unveils Their VIP Set For The National

VIPs attending the 34th National Sports Collectors Convention this month will receive a 6-card set thanks to Panini.  The set will consist of E.J. Manuel, Geno Smith, Oscar Taveras, and Nail Yakupov.  Along with these four cards collectors will find a coupon which can be redeemed at the Panini booth for two additional mystery cards.  No word yet on who the mystery cards are of, but I feel confident that one of them will be Yasiel Puig.

Upper Deck Unveils Their VIP Set For The 34th National

Here we go!  Today Upper Deck unveiled the 6-card set that VIPs will find in their packages while attending the 34th National Sports Collectors Convention.  I don’t know what it is about these cards, but they make me crave Hi-C juice that comes in those little boxes.  Maybe its those green backgrounds.

I would like to see Upper Deck make specially colored Precious Metal Gems parallels and/or a National exclusive Animal Kingdom patch to give away during their redemption programs this year.  Promos that can be integrated into an already existing product are the most desired.

Press Pass Is Preparing For The ’13 National

Press Pass will have a presence during the 2013 National Sports Collectors Convention this year.  Today they unveiled their VIP set and wrapper redemption plans.  VIPs that attend the National will receive a 5-card set that consists of Danica Patrick, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, and Jimmie Johnson.

The wrapper redemption program will be for mystery packs that contain a Press Pass FanFare card limited to 10 or less and a parallel card numbered to 3.  All cards are branded with the National in someway.  The autograph checklist consists of 50 drivers.  These mystery packs will be available to anyone who purchase boxes of 2013 Press Pass racing products at the show.  The eligible products include 2013 Press Pass, Total Memorabilia, Ignite, Redline, and FanFare.

This afternoon, Panini unveiled all the details you’ll need to know in order to take part in their 2012 National Sports Collectors Convention wrapper redemption program.
