2 Pack Break: 2008 Bowman Chrome & Gridiron Gear

I usually don’t buy cards at Walmart, but today I thought I would give it a try.  I picked up one pack of 2008 Bowman Chrome football, and one pack of 2008 Gridiron Gear.  The Gridiron Gear yieled a Curtis Loften rookie #’ed/999, and the Bowman Chrome gave me a Jake Long rookie, and an Isaac Bruce refractor.  I’m real happy about the Long RC since I am a Dolphins fan.  That is the second Bruce refractor I have pulled from a pack of Bowman Chrome.  If there are any Isaac Bruce or 49er’s fans reading, shoot me an e-mail, maybe we can make a trade.

Pack Searching Has Corrupted Our Youth

Many people that have collected cards for years and have a lot of respect for the hobby will probably feel sick when they see this.  I found this video of a kid that admits to pack searching.  I usually hear about older people searching packs at Wal-Mart and Target, but not kids.  I guess it was bound to happen sometime.  I really wish these people would collect cards for the fun of it and just not for the hits.  They should put that energy into contributing something to the hobby instead of taking something away.  These people are just pathetic!!!!!!!!!!
