“Pin-Up” of the Week: Hard Rock Cafe – Happy New Year 2013 – Slider Pin

Photobucket

No, this is not a sports related pin.  Cut me some slack.  At least it has a ball on it.  Hard Rock Cafe made these pins for various locations (including Yankee Stadium) to celebrate the beginning of 2013.  Its called a slider pin because the ball can actually slide down.  The ball can move up too for those that enjoy time travel.  Depending on the location, these have been known to sell for as much as $30.00.

What would you like to add to your collection in 2013?  Personally, I’d take any of the Harry Kalas cards off my wantlist.  Specifically the Sportkings Series E cut signature #’ed 1/1.

For Your Enjoyment – Sports Card Info’s Annual 2011 Blog Stats

Every year WordPress.com puts together a very well designed annual report based on Sports Card Info’s site statistics.  I found it fun to review and none of it would be possible without all you.  HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Here’s an excerpt:

The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 130,000 times in 2011. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 6 days for that many people to see it.

“Pin-Up” of the Week: Buster Posey 2010 Rookie Of The Year SGA Pin

I love SGA’s (stadium giveaways).  The above pin was given to Giants fans on 4/10/11 commemorating Buster Posey being the 2010 NL Rookie of the Year.  Collectors can easily find them for $20.00 a piece.

Card of the Day: Bernie Parent ’09 ITG 1972 The Year In Hockey Auto

ITG (In The Game, Inc) has been producing licensed hockey cards since 1998.  They are one of the best manufacturers of hockey cards within The Hobby.  Some of their patch cards are insane!!!!  I think this is the first ITG card I’ve ever used for “Card of the Day”.
