“Pin-Up” of the Week: Little League CA D-35 Spider-Man Slide Pin

A lot of Little League pins contain superheroes.  Most of them are district pins.  How they’re able to use the likeness of certain superheroes is still a mystery to me.  I highly doubt these districts would be able to afford the licensing fees.  Maybe the pin manufacturers made a deal with them.  That would make more sense.  This pin is from California District #35 and shows Spider-Man show a kid how to properly slide.  There are at least two versions of this pin with slight color variations.  They can easily be picked-up for under $5.00.

Nobody knows for sure where we’ll see Spider-Man popup in film next.  Many sources are saying Sony and Marvel will come to some type of agreement that will allow Marvel to include Spider-Man in their cinematic universe.  This means fans could see him along side the likes of Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, and Thor.  Given that Marvel plans to bring the Civil War story line to theaters, this would make sense.  Spider-Man has a huge part in that specific story.  Unfortunately this means that Marvel will probably cast someone new as the web-slinger.  If they do, we might not even get the Peter Parker version of Spider-Man.  They could start from a clean slate with the Miles Morales character.  Over the last twelve years the Peter Parker Spider-Man has been done so many times, and including him in the MCU might create some confusion.  I say either continue the current Peter Parker story line within the MCU or start over with an already established Miles Morales Spider-Man.  I think Morales is the best way to go.  But for the love of god lets stick with a Spider-Man for awhile without all this starting over.  Rumor has it Spider-Man could make a cameo in Captain America: Civil War.

Then again, all of this could fall apart and the current Spider-Man story line could continue with The Amazing Spider-Man 3Venom, and Sinister Six.  All I know is that Spider-Man needs a steady footing when it comes to the movies.
