Can you believe it? There it was. Sitting all alone on the shelf at Walmart. This lonely HOBBY box of 2021 Bowman Baseball. How did it get there? Why was it there? Do other Walmart stores have hobby boxes? I fought through a major crowd just to get my hands on it. I didn’t have time to hesitate. Reaching out I grabbed the box, and ran like hell. I nearly lost an eyeball.

Just kidding. I didn’t find this Hobby box of 2021 Bowman Baseball at Walmart. But wouldn’t that be the talk of the town if I did. Shopping for cards at retail outlets such as Walmart and Target has become a full-contact sport. Things have become so violent Target switched to selling cards strictly online for the foreseeable future.

2021 Bowman Baseball is the first of the big three rookie/prospect sets to be released throughout the year. Bowman Chrome, and Bowman Draft being the other two. As a member of the Topps 582 Montgomery Club I’m always excited for the limited Sapphire Editions.

The main base set consists of (100) cards. It is a good mix of both veterans and rookies. Parallels include Sky Blue #’ed/499, Neon Green #’ed/399, Fuchsia #’ed/299, Purple #’ed/250, Blue #’ed/150, Green #’ed/99, Yellow #’ed/75, Gold #’ed/50, Orange #’ed/25, Red #’ed/5, Platinum #’ed 1/1, and Printing Plates #’ed 1/1.

A ton of hype surrounds young prospects today. Its important to collect what you want, and not to worry about what others are pushing on you. In today’s hobby, everyone thinks they know who the next Mike Trout or Fernando Tatis, Jr. will be.
